Teresa attended the University of San Diego Law School, where she served as a Comments Editor on the Law Review.  She graduated cum laude in 2001 and was awarded the prestigious scholastic honor of becoming a member of the Order of the Coif. Teresa became a member of the California Bar later that year.

With a focus on civil litigation, Teresa brings with her extensive knowledge of California civil law.  She has appeared before the California Courts of Appeals multiple times, with one appearance resulting in the publication of the Court’s opinion regarding a case involving the unfair use of arbitration agreements in care facilities for the elderly.

Teresa’s field of practice ranges from elder and dependent abuse cases to catastrophic injury cases, employment law issues, and vehicular and premises liability personal injuries matters.

In addition to being an attorney, Teresa is a Registered Nurse, licensed in California.  Her experience was primarily in emergency departments in East Chicago, Indiana and New Orleans and Baton Rouge Louisiana.  Teresa was also a member of a team of nurses that provided home care to critically ill AIDS patients and babies with serious birth defects.

Teresa has three grown sons who are her greatest joy. The oldest is a USMC Veteran; the second son is involved in hospitality and event services; and the youngest is a musician.  She also has three beloved dogs including a miniature Schnauzer, a Husky, and a Basset Hound puppy.
